At Key Transitional Housing, our homes are designed to provide a safe, supportive, and respectful environment where every resident has the opportunity to rebuild their life with dignity. These House Rules help ensure a positive living experience for everyone.
Respect for Others
Residents are expected to treat fellow residents, staff, neighbors, visitors, and community partners with courtesy, professionalism, and respect at all times. Harassment, discrimination, threats, intimidation, or violence of any kind will not be tolerated.
Clean and Well-Maintained Homes
Residents share responsibility for maintaining clean, organized, and sanitary living spaces.
This includes:

Keeping bedrooms clean and orderly.

Participating in assigned household responsibilities.

Cleaning shared kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas after use.

Properly disposing of trash and recycling.
Quiet Hours -
To promote rest and respect for all residents, quiet hours are observed daily from 10:00 PM until 7:00 AM.
Visitors -
Visitors are permitted only in accordance with program guidelines and must receive prior approval when required. Residents are responsible for the conduct of their guests at all times.
Alcohol, Drugs, and Illegal Activity -
The possession, use, manufacture, or distribution of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.

Alcohol policies may vary by program and funding requirements. Residents must comply with all program-specific guidelines.

Illegal activity of any kind may result in immediate removal from the program.
Weapons -
For the safety of all residents and staff, firearms, explosives, and other prohibited weapons are not permitted on the property unless specifically authorized by applicable law and program policy.
Safety -
Residents are expected to:

Report maintenance concerns promptly.

Report unsafe conditions immediately.

Keep exits and walkways clear.

Follow all emergency procedures.
Property Care -
Residents are responsible for treating the home, furnishings, appliances, and equipment with care. Damage beyond normal wear may result in financial responsibility.
Employment and Personal Growth -
Residents are encouraged to actively pursue employment, education, job training, counseling, financial literacy, healthcare, or other individualized goals established within their program.
Privacy and Confidentiality -
Every resident deserves privacy and respect. Personal information shared within the program should remain confidential unless disclosure is required for safety or legal reasons.
Communication -
Open, honest, and respectful communication is encouraged. Concerns should be addressed promptly with program staff so solutions can be found collaboratively.
Compliance -
Residents agree to follow all program guidelines, occupancy agreements, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Failure to comply with House Rules may result in corrective action up to and including discharge from the program, depending on the nature and severity of the violation.
